The JV GU is now relentless. Very good
half way through the first joris voorn mix and it’s pretty bland to say the least. don’t see myself finishing it.
Alistair endorsing it was all the feedback I needed.
The equivalent of walking out of a film after the first 15 mins..
I love this. Pure cheese in between some nice techno.
Found Voorns GU a bit contrived.
Yes its clever, but there’s no time to enjoy a groove or melody.
Not for me.
I just got to the end, and loved it. It never felt like 50 tracks, a side, maybe 15. Yes, there was a lot of cheese, but also a surprising amount of decent techno. Looking forward to going through the singles tomorrow to find the tracks.
The way he put the tracks was clever. I thought it did surprisingly flow and felt pretty seamless considering the abundance of tracks. Some great transitions

Might be slightly cohesive but nothing has time to breathe or get a groove going.
Think Voorn has a good ear for melody, tunes etc but when he puts one of these together feels a bit gimmicky.
Prefer Damo’s Ableton sets by a country mile

Got about 2/3rds of the way through Voorn’s GU and couldn’t take any more of it. It’s horrendous on so many levels. And this is from somebody who holds his Balance as one of their all time fav comps. Actually, this GU is so bad I am reluctant to go back and listen again to his Balance mix again in case I was woefully wrong all along. Immediately after turning the shite off, I bunged on his RA from 2007 which reminded me that once he could put together a proper solid mix without all of the fucking about with 20 second snippets from a thousand tracks.
Ricky Ryan will be shitting in his grave.
It’s just about alright and probably won’t listen to it again. Apple Music saves me an absolute fortune
