Turbojazz’s new album ’Whateverism"

A compilation rather than an artist album. Not new either, so hoping for clemency!

Has a similar vibe to the Abstract Funk Theory comp Circulation put out many moons ago.

Released in 2018 MC.

Not sure 5 years old constitutes new but I could be wrong.

Smallman1 It’s a good album, Ed. Let it slide, give it a spin and pop your top off!

Thanks brother, could be why I said “not new” in the post?

smokindan Debuted on 6 music this morning. Tracey’s voice has matured and become a bit more fragile and deeper. Still good but different. Like it

James Holden announces first album since 2017

James Holden has announced Imagine This Is A High Dimensional Space of All Possibilities, his first album in more than five years.

Out on March 31st via Border Community, Holden’s fourth studio album departs from the live band music of his previous output in favour of something more introspective. Spanning 12 tracks, the LP plays out like a continuous sound collage, juxtaposing contrasting audio worlds.

If it’s four times better than his last one, it’ll be shit.

M83 has a new 6 track (EP? Mini?) album out today, that is excellent. Which is nice because their last album was disappointing.

Homegrove I love their early stuff, everything since hurry up, we’re dreaming has been complete shit. Saw them live a few year ago and they didn’t perform a single track from pre-2011.

I’ll give this a listen, but I’m not expecting much. Hold tight for feedback.

Edit: yeah it’s a bad rehash of their sound that I hate

Dubman this was pretty decent, I approached it with some trepedition, but mostly enjoyed it. Day One is a TUNE.

After Leftfield’s latest album which I did enjoy on the first listen although I haven’t gone back to it. The Orbital album does sound more solid. I reckon it would be good hearing it played live.

I like orbital a lot, especially live, I’ve seen them probably 5 times in all and have all their albums and 12s right back to dot . But…if someone had told me this was a load of tracks off the studio floor that didn’t quite make albums I’d have not questioned it. Sounds stuck in time. 90s time.
