2003 or 2005 next. They both have a lot of decent prog bangers.

jonattonyeah

It wasn’t actually recorded at Twilo. It was a replication of a set that Digweed did at Twilo. There was an interview with Digweed many years ago about it. It has to be the most misslabeled Essential Mix ever.

Our dude JY is representing the JC brethren in the Progressive House Classics group on FB. A link to this thread on there lol.

jonattonyeah great effort and i remember having this EM on repeat - not sure if this has ever been beaten for me in terms of how he builds it.

Also first time I heard Xpander and remember being a bit underwhelmed at the time (so what do I know eh?). Don’t think it was Live from Twilo?

Nick Gordon Brown sounds a right hoot…

“I’m all for edgy humour, but making fun of a killer pandemic when we’re in the middle of another one…and when the one you’re joking about took the lives of so many who were central to the scene we all love…joking about a much loved and hugely talented artist who fell to his death…and then making such a flippant comment about Morillo - makes me feel sick tbh, and no amount of gags about Tong’s mixing or Scott Bond’s self promotion can remove the bad taste.”

Nice one Si. Just had a look myself. I feel some new members maybe joining soon.

          Nick’s missing out.

          This is a great thread.

And I’m completely impartial because normally I hate Jonattan Yeah.

Pickles Don’t think it was Live from Twilo?

Yeah somebody corrected me on that earlier in the thread.

Been trying to finish up 2004 for ages. Have the top and the bottom sorted. The middle of the pack is doing my head in.

Which much loved and hugely talented artist fell? I can’t be arsed reading the thread from the start again?

I don’t want to live in a world where we can’t make fun of a much loved and hugely talented artist falling out of a window.

Basement Jaxx mix hugely underrated too, an absolute banger despite the shoddy mixing.

If I remember right, it was the second half that ruined that mix. The first half was pretty good, sans the mixing like you said.
