Sad news indeed. Poor guy.
Couldnt have been that old either, anyone know what age he was?

What a shame. At least he got to do what he loved for a good few years there; seeing much of the world as he did his thing. Death is obviously terrible, but I think it’s important to celebrate the life he did live. I can’t imagine the Australian scene would be the same without him.
No argument there.
Somehow missed the fact that he was in Lostep.

Well said.
Aye well said is right
really sad, especially at that age.
Had no idea he was in Lo Step either. Wonder if there will be a few tracks of his in next week’s Bunker.
Crazy year for dance music related deaths when you think how many djs and producers have died especially as none seem Covid related either
Bugger. Sad news
RIP
RIP. Well said JTY.
seanc80 A cracker that.
Loved that Operators track. RIP.
he was an absolute gent & wonderful dj. he use to produce a lot of his early records at DMC which was one of the main vinyl stores in Melbourne. I was in there one day buying records (I was peak impressionable) & he had just made Burma with Luke. I overheard him talking to one of the staff & he had just sent it to Sasha who wanted it for a future project (which turned out to be Involver). a quirky vivid memory that always stuck with me as I inadvertently stumbled across a huge secret in our music world.
RIP PK
Absolutely gutted. I knew it was coming but it doesn’t make it any easier. I’d spoken to him for about two hours back in May and he was doing well at the time, but I understand things took a turn for the worse shortly thereafter. He was hugely influential and such an innovator for so many. Never one to follow trends - always the one to create them.
A friend of mine saw him play b2b with James Zabiela in 2005 and said he was absolutely brilliant behind the ones and twos as well.
loopdokter What on earth were you guys talking about for two hours Loopy? That’s a long time for a sick man albeit doing well at the time
Suspect Loopy was doing most of the talking and Phil had him on mute.
