C_J This is what I make mine with (and I linked a recipe afterwards):
Lettuce (preferably not the iceberg kind, but leafy lettuce), tomatoes, cucumbers, kalamata olives, small diced shallot, tear in some fresh herbs (I usually do parsley and mint, since I grow it at home)….dressing is lemon juice, olive oil, salt & pepper to taste….sprinkle on some sumac (just gives it a nice citrus-y note at the end, not essential) then crush up some pita chips or quickly bake a fresh pita until it’s kinda crisp and tear up into the salad.
It’s really similar to a panzanella salad, if you’ve had one of those, just with a few different ingredients 🙂
