Amps I get hit with an additional 35% customs fee if I order from stock x, so it’s a no go for me.

Got gifted the Nike invincible flyknit - they’re comfy!

rhouses Think my seller is in the UK, so I should be okay… I assume they don’t ship them to the states only to ship them back here???

Amps that would be insane, but someone has to do the legit check.

rhouses We shall see how it goes, have been stung on the import tax before myself, always takes the shine off the purchase!

rhouses Turns out they have this sorted for the UK:

For Europe and the UK, all of the costs presented on StockX when purchasing an item will be all inclusive. No additional taxes, duties, or VAT will be collected upon delivery of your item

No such deal for most of Asia 👎

Amps ha nice one for you.

The customs for me is probably for the best. 😅

rhouses Yeah, I keep eyeballing £500 Air Max and thinking to myself… I can justify that… they’re classics… it’s not that much in fairness… technically they’re an investment…

Half a bag of sand on a pair of trainers? Sheesh

I went into a trainer shop in Brighton a few months ago called ‘Original Kicks’ And all they sell is secondhand trainers. Over 90% of their stock was Nike. I had a chat with a worker as i just don’t get the the obsession with Nike. Some of the prices was unreal. They had one pair that cost about £1300 or more for a pair mids with the Nike swoosh logo on backwards.
              They certainly are an investment.

Dubman i just don’t get the the obsession with Nike

For the past decade or so they have been way more creative than Adidas or anyone else. Adidas just rely on their retro stuff and the new designs are average at best. The nike stuff just gets more bonkers / interesting every week.

Regards the big money stuff, I’m not that into most of it, no real interest in Jordans or the like, there are a couple of specific Air Max I might pick up if i had a lottery win.

Im liking these Y3 hi-tops but the price tag is stifling.

If you turned that meal in the Guinness glass upside down, it’s not far off those.

Dutchy you dont even know what you are supposed to be taking the piss out of, you dopey little knacker

Amps Dubman I’ve been off loading a lot of my stuff this year. Mostly rich high school kids who think the stuff I bought in 2018 is vintage because they were too young to buy them when they released. Have made at least $500 on top of what I’ve paid for the four pairs of yeezy I bought then. Two pairs I had worn for a solid two years. Had a couple of brand new jordans from that time too, easy money. It’s basically like Lego sets.

A lol for Dutchy and Sean!

rhouses Yeah, I have a few bits stashed in the loft that are defo money makers, should I ever get around to selling them. I think with trabs though it’s very much about time and place etc. I have some super rare Rifts that have gone for crackers money in the past, but I doubt I would get a tenth of that at present, just because Rifts aren’t getting any release or attention. Top work on your $500, nice little earner. Posibbly worth keeping hold of a pair though, he could be in any number of unfortunate accidents at almost any given minute, which would see the price sky rocket! ‘Kanye walks into lions enclosure’ feels like a very feasible headline.

Loopy’s most be worth collectively about 11p and that is a removal charge

Amps what air max stuff are you looking at? And tell me more about the rare stuff sitting in your attic. My biggest win was a pair of maize yellow / black / white swoosh high top dunks from 2011, which I got for $70 at the time, and sold for $350, just before the in flux of dunks this year. Kid was ecstatic with his vintage dead stock pair. The second hand black cement 3s from 2018 which I beat for three years sold for cost price.

My friends tell me I should be ashamed of myself for hustling 18 year olds and my wife couldnt be happier. 😅
