Hursty No messing straight away, if this pace from Jumbo carries on I can’t see Pogacar doing anything, they are going to annihilate the peloton
benson Couldn’t get usual tubeless tyres. Have had to settle for less than ideal ones. Everything seems out of stock. Will be looking at a new chainring soon and suspect it’ll be a massive wait. Have seen far too little of the tour this year.
Hursty benson depends what you use, plenty of alternative chainring makers out there, they take some wearing down however or are you changing size?
Along_the_Wire benson Everything seems out of stock. Will be looking at a new chainring soon and suspect it’ll be a massive wait. It’s a nightmare Bens. Have to wait a year for a 10-32 cassette?!!! Chainrings seem to be more widely available though - try Rotor
Along_the_Wire @benson read up on crank length - for the stuff you and I do, 170mm is fantastic - makes quite a difference if you have a consistent cadence 85+ It’s not about the size of the rider at all, it’s the torque required for different styles - 175 for CX as you need to sprint out of corners and stops for example and gives you great torque
LT42 Yeah Pidcock was immense, looked like he had another 20k in him. He said the other day Pogacar was taking the piss, well he did today. That descent was phenomenal.
Hursty Amazing ride, knew he had it in him but didn’t expect to see such a sensational display of his talent, not sure which was better, his descending skills or the ride up d’huez!
Along_the_Wire benson well-in Bens. I just went middle of the road until I had a proper bike fit for the TT bike. Amazing the difference it makes, especially when I swap out bikes
Hursty Cheeky stage today…another breakaway win? Unlucky for Fred yesterday but he was never out sprinting Mads
LT42 The gap Jonas has is an interesting one, it has to force Pogacar to be extremely aggressive at some point.
