I love watching Pogacar but it’s a shame no one is anywhere near him this year to put the pressure on. He’s going to smoke everyone on every climb yet to come, there is no doubt.

Perhaps Bernal maybe up to it next year?

Along_the_Wire Its pretty much on a plate now as the team are fully behind him, dragging him up the climbs, leading out, protecting him, he just needs to convert the chances. Easier said than done, but he is the master.

As i’ve said earlier on in this thread, its happening across all sports in general, the youth just have access to all the data they can consume from day dot which is making the difference.

Been up ventoux three times, but not done all three ascents. On my to do list to get back and grind it up there again.

Hursty not sure. Cav appears to be doing OK against his competition (granted hes not racing against Bennett or ewan). Roglic is also no spring chicken.

So Pogacar, in a method similar to Armstrong, held a 12 minute press conference. He refused to answer any questions on the dubiousness of his TUE use, or his own team management. The one question he did answer on drug use was “I have never tested positive” - so disappointing

I don’t know how stringent the testing is but it has to cover all bases I would assume, meaning when the sophistication of the doping use increases then so does the testing?

For now I have faith in the testing organisation and until proven one way or the other he’s a doper, I’m just going to enjoy watching him race as he’s brilliant to watch.

Today will be great again hopefully, all eyes on Cavendish.
