apyssjw Been up ventoux three times, but not done all three ascents. On my to do list to get back and grind it up there again. Hursty not sure. Cav appears to be doing OK against his competition (granted hes not racing against Bennett or ewan). Roglic is also no spring chicken.

LT42 Some ride from Alaphilippe up to now, absolute beast. Grant, fair play for doing these climbs, beautiful but fuck me does it look tough.
LT42 Van Aert was unbelievable to be fair. The mental strength needed to go up to the top of that mountain and then do it all again a half hour later! So impressive.
Along_the_Wire LT42 The first ascent is actually pretty easy apart from the last few kms. From Bedouin, it’s different gravy - straight roads 10-14%
LT42 Along_the_Wire It got the better of Pogacar too, I didn’t think I’d see it after he stuck to Vengegaard’s wheel when he started to break away. O’Connor did well to claw his way back, he was going in reverse at one point.
LT42 I don’t remember the pace of the Tour being this high before, is it normal for road races now? Soon as the flag waved they were off!
Along_the_Wire LT42 yup, speeds have stabilised for a while now - attacks from the off are common and if anyone is in the attack that’s a competitor for a jersey, the appropriate team or teams chase hard.
