Hursty Wonder which jabs he had?

Jags in Scotland.

Today’s stage in the Vuelta looks a cracker.

Thinking of getting a trainer that me an dthe mrs can both use. Watt bike atom or Kickr bike.

Any experience with any of them?

Currently use a kickr turbo trainer with my bike attached to it. Mainly on Rouvy.

The problem is space to set it up. I guess it is an excuse for a garden room

    Kickr bike > Wattbike atom

Does cost a lot more however

Hursty useful. I mean it might all pale in comparison to the garden room that would have to be built to accomodate it 🙂

And I’d have a kickr turbo to sell 🙂

benson Let’s just say if you have the cash there is only one choice.

I use an Atom but it doesn’t touch the Kickr in terms of quality, precision and flexibility

benson Kickr - Wattbike loses accuracy over time - you have to work harder to maintain your wattage

LT42 get the app and get a subscription and never see an ad again - the receptiveness and the frequency did my head in

In other news, I’ve bought a CAAD13 with Ultegra to replace my Canyon Endurance CF CL which is in ruins after being hammered in all sort of conditions.

Yeah the loop they have the ads on is bizarre. Designed to drive you mental and buy the app for sure.

Paris-Roubaix today - I’m watching the entire race. Reckon Mads Pedersen today - hope for Ganna, but don’t think he’s quite got it for this race.

Along_the_Wire I saw a pic from the course the other day and it was totally water logged. Should be interesting.

Few crashes in the women’s race yesterday for that reason

Well Mallorca was a disaster. I managed 167 km. Absolutely hanging out my arse compared to last year when I did 225. My mate crashed and has fucked his elbow and shoulder. Another mate’s bike was broken with his non-drive crakshaft just spinning freely. He had to cycle with one leg and got pushed home .

Big wake up call to eat less shit, exercise more and accept I am in my 40s.

Ouch sounds like a right disaster! Contrary to your last comment, I hope you salvaged something out of the trip, such as nice food and beers in the sunshine

benson shit! Nothing to do with being in your 40s, train more and avoid shit stuff is always the order of the day.

Did the remainder of 225 today. That’s near on 400km for the week. Train more. Eat less. Chins up.

Anyone do the IoW Randonee yesterday? Was a decent day for it
