There was a girl who worked at our bar. Solid looker but her dude, father of her child no less, had an AK-47 tattooed on his neck. Needless to say, he’s currently booked in the clink at Santa Rita awaiting a murder charge he’s certainly guilty of. Might give me the opp to give it a go with his bird.

i’d totally consider a design that went back>neck>back of head. that shit has to be insanely painful though. the lines on my collarbone felt like they were on my throat and reverberated inside my skull.

303abuser My most recent tattoo is on the back of my neck. I wear my hair up a lot, so it made sense for me. You can see it above my neckline, but I haven’t seen anyone get crusty about it…maybe because it’s not something you see looking at me head on

LT42 i can imagine. my sternum was the worst spot for me so far, worse than the elbow ditch or armpit (just the edges, not covered) by far. tapped out after two hours of line work. i’ll probably never get my ribs done after that experience lol.

Kells77 that’s really nice, actually very similar in style to the dot work Ganesha i’ve got on my shoulder. there’s definitely a difference in perception between the back of the head/neck and the face/throat.

is that picture fresh or healed? curious as to how the white highlights held up for you. mine looked fantastic for 3 months, turned yellow, and eventually disappeared. my skin just doesn’t hold white ink and i think that’s pretty common.

303abuser Thanks! That’s a picture of it freshly done. It’s kinda hard to get a selfie at that angle lol, but when I look in the mirror, I can still see the white 🙂 I have another tattoo with white ink as well, which was done a couple years ago, and it has faded over time (looking at my arm now and seeing that I could probably use a touch up actually). I like the definition it gives though 🙂

Kells77 yeah the white highlights make it pop. looks great, just doesn’t work for my skin apparently. i tan really easily though, so that may have something to do with it; you’re obviously more fair-skinned than i am.

Reckon if you have a load of tattoos already the face one doesnt look too bad, it’s just part of the collection, but if a face tat is the only tat you have it would look a bit weird.

Reckon the places you can work and have a tattoo is becoming a broader church these days, my mates a headmaster and he’s covered in them, neck tats too.
