jonattonyeah most people taking out student loans these days are unrepresented when meeting with the bank, and are only doing so because they literally don’t know what else to do. The higher education machine is extremely similar to a virus.

The mental gymnastics you had to do to get there were really remarkable, not heard anything like it since I was battered at 6am at an afters in my early 20s, listening to a communist who was picking the debris out of the grooves in a coffee table to try to construct one last spliff.

No interest and make college not something to be made profit from. That’s a solution. A random give-away to a few people because of timing doesn’t make any sense. What about the people in college now? Or in a few years from now? Or those who held off on buying a house to pay their loans? Screw them, yeah?

Also, you choose to go to a fancy private school, that’s your problem. I got accepted to one Ivy League school but didn’t qualify for a scholarship, so I went to a local public school that was affordable.

If you want to make a virus analogy, fine. Then it’s more like an STD. You go full raw dog with someone you just met? Well decisions have consequences.

It needs fixing. We’re on the same team here. I just don’t think a random giveaway gets us anywhere.

It gets a generation out of shackles. Also, Joe ran on forgiving student debt.

Dave, you literally live in a communist country.

Wouldn’t be surprised if that’s Dave but I doubt he’s that handsome. Too much hair.

zackster you literally live in a communist country.

It’s more ‘authoritarian-capitalist’ nowadays as you well know, with a few red flags fluttering.

Britain is probably more communist in that it has a nationalised healthcare system paid for out of general taxation.

zackster doesn’t he have a point when you’ve got the likes of Texas and Florida pretending there’s no covid? Fuck them

Chris Hopson saying that the number of patients in hospital with Covid is up by a third since last week but most of the cases are asymptomatic incidentals i.e. hospitalised with rather than because of Covid, and overall hospital admissions are unchanged. Which is kinda good I guess.

It’s the only good thing about this country these days, lets face it, the prog is second rate at best.

                Lol!

I’d say the three best things about this country are the NHS, London and me.

C_J he also says total hospitalisations are unchanged week on week.. seems like great news
