jonattonyeah Old-Dutch Would never move South of the river I lived in East Dulwich for a minute. Just off Lordship Lane. I quite liked it.
hugopal Hursty Yeah it’s as I thought, Hampstead takes some beating, the best of both worlds one might say. Which “both worlds” are they? Still suffers from the terrible London pollution, as does pretty much everywhere within the M25 and even beyond.
Hursty hugopal Being within one of the world’s global cities while having access to some nature and green space, albeit polluted none the less.
hugopal Smallman1 Hampstead Heath is massively overrated. You prefer the toilets at LIverpool St Station do ya?

Jules72 Used to live in Hampstead… by far my favourite area.. if it wasn’t for the kids I’d be back there in a flash (currently in SW London)
Along_the_Wire Jules72 One of my biggest ever regrets was living with my bird at the time in West Hampstead back in the mid 90s and we were going to buy a beautiful split level two bedroom flat a couple of minutes from the tube - we split up and I couldn’t be arsed going through with the purchase. £58k. What a cunt.
Jules72 Smallman1 meeh.. nice houses but dull as fuck… only consolation is Brixton down the road. Unless aggressive yummy mummies in range rovers is your thing.
jonattonyeah Smallman1 Peckham Loved Peckham. Short walk over the hill and some damn good cheap eats. A bit hardscrabble but nothing compared to some of the places I’ve been in the States. ’Though the fellow I was staying with did get chased down the road by a group of unrulies for his new PS3. He got away.
Smallman1 Tremendous spot Peckham. Has an edge but nothing a tough customer brought up in Hampton Court can’t handle.
Jules72 Along_the_Wire the pad I owned in Hampstead went up 150% over ten years…. I’m in the market now for a house finally and fck me the market is spiralling upwards here in Wimbledon… the utter shite people are trying to sell for ridiculous prices would be hilarious if I wasn’t a buyer. If it wasn’t for the kids I’d probably be buying in the centre - assuming we get a vaccine over the next six months this exodus to the suburbs might be over soon.
