bosstrabs Smallman1 South-west London. Full of bumbling but ultimately quite civilised Boris fanboys and Twickers types.
Jules72 Smallman1 all except TFL workers who talk to each other 1 metre apart without masks…. thickets if I ever saw any…. do most TFL workers actually do anything btw - how much do they get paid for just standing around looking thick
Smallman1 Actually Tooting is a Labour stronghold. Thankfully the restaurant scene is beyond vibrant or I’d be out of here like a shot.
Smallman1 Jules72 how much do they get paid for just standing around looking thick About £50k a year.
bosstrabs Smallman1 50k a year just for manning the gates? Sounds absurd even though they’re unionised, can’t be right. Train drivers may get upwards of that, not sure, but not some pillock on the gateline.

jonattonyeah Dubman It’s really not worth confronting people over mask compliance. The people refusing to wear masks are not abiding by our collective social contract with each other. I would expect other deviant behaviors like violence from them.
alistair I got on a tube with my lad earlier in the summer when we spent the weekend in London. A hugh menacing guy sat opposite, phone in one hand, Harry Redknapp autobiography in the other, coughing intermittently whilst eyeballing the other horrified mask wearing passengers in the carriage. I like others was so tempted to say something but bottled it through fear of getting a smack in front of my lad. Absolute bell-ends they are!
Along_the_Wire They get £30k. Tube driver gets £55k basic with upto £75k with overtime - they get 62 weeks holiday a year too.
bosstrabs Just looked it up on GlassDoor, the regular ticket inspectors get £22-£26k, only the station manager gets £50k.
Jules72 Yeah tube drivers get 50-60k odd. Anyway it’s management’s or Khan’s fault, not the foot soldiers’ really - they’re not paid to make smart choices
Jules72 One thing’s for sure - politicians at all levels, local right to the top haven’t got a clue what’s going on on the ground. You only need to take a train into Londonto Waterloo to wonder to yourself: 1) why are 15-20% of people not wearing masks, 2) what do all these people do at Waterloo, before wondering into a restaurant or cafe: 3) why is there no distancing, 4) there are some very large households/families in London
