Hursty Mad_Cyril I merely quoted the BBC MC, its an interesting set of statistics is all I’m saying after the supposed claims of 95%+ efficacy. Statistics are horrible, especially small samples, but I certainly wouldn’t expect these results.

Jules72 Hursty probably does turn out to be 95% efficacy if 90% odd on average of the vulnerable age groups are jabbed. Let’s say the sample is 100k people, almost all old or vulnerable. Let’s say 90% were double jabbed.. that’s 90k… 10k not jabbed. 36 out 10k unvaccinated died (0.36%),and 24 out of 90% doubled jabbed died (0.027%).. that’s very high efficacy and protection

Along_the_Wire alistair It’s a government test event along with the cricket at Edgbaston. You need to do have a negative flow test to get in and then have to do 2 PCR test the days after and five days later.

Hursty Jules72 He clearly had the chance to stem the spread of the Delta variant in the UK by placing India on the red list and banning inbound flights completely but failed to do so. Bear in mind 90% of all UK Covid cases are the Delta variant now….
