Every single small biz lobbies their Governor and gets approval to stay open. Can’t entirely blame them either as both the owners and employees will lose money if they can’t work. Paying people to stay home is the only way to handle this, and we would rather kill people than allow that to happen.

FabiParas Our government have royally fucked the small business/self-employed world in the UK. You have a whole constituency of roughly 3m people who have not received a penny of support during the pandemic. The type of people who any other time would have been all over the Conservative Party with their support and they’ve pretty much been told to spend your savings, take mortgage holidays, use your investment money and get on with it.

Jules72 Chinese city of 10m odd had a total of 18 cumulative covid cases last week.. so they start mass testing… all 10m people.. and because they don’t believe in PCR tests (yet apparently our muppets believe in lateral flow tests) they’re having a second round of testing this week. That’s how you do it.. fucks sake - so frustrating hearing stuff like this.
