Yeah it’s really bad. I do wonder if it single-handedly created the modern coffee shop, ’though. I swear those sorts of places with local art and distressed couches weren’t a thing until Friends came along. And then they were everywhere. Most shows seemed to center around a bar (like the Regal Beagle).

There is no show worse. I’d rather watch Tucker Carlson. The whole mix makes zero sense. Its a bunch of soy beta males hanging out with overrated chics and doing cringe bants.

I rate Eastbound & Down. But I suppose that’s not standard sitcom fair. Same with Nathan For You.

For 30 minute network sitcoms, Seinfeld has to be the gold standard. Frasier was poncy and idiotic. Oh…Three’s Company is excellent. Mr Furley calling Jack a Nancy Boy. Larry. The Regal Beagle. Top stuff. “Come on knock on my door”

Season One was fantastic. I thought the rest was a major letdown. Of the Damny McBride HBO trilogy, I liked Vice Principles the best. I am very much looking forward to the next Gemstone season tho.

It was an HBO exclusive so it didn’t have the range of most network shows. It did very well by HBO standards, if a tier below The Sopranos and Sex & The City. The Wire and Deadwood were both duds that have found a second life via streaming.
