As I’ve said before on here, this is where you’re way off.
It may or may not be the near-term intention of government right now, but when all payments are digital, all health information is consolidated into one app/database and so on, you should be very afraid of the potential power that government could wield. And we’re already seeing it, with the unvaccinated being essentially barred from most public life in some countries.
What happens when a government decides to bar you from doing stuff on some other grounds (like your mortgage payment is late, for example)?
I don’t think it’s paranoid at all, I have taken my vaccinations and made every effort I could to protect myself and others from the spread of COVID, but the power of the state should be properly checked.
