LT42 Populations are out of control, resources are running out, steps will need to be implemented.
This is the biggest issue facing humanity.
Along_the_Wire yep, but theres a large swathe of the populace who just don’t get it. Resources are infinite and everyone should have 10 children because “freedom” and take your stinking Govt hands off my rights. Or something like that.
Smallman1 it will be for me, Ed, just not for everyone.
LT42 it will be for me, Ed, just not for everyone.
Amen to that brother Liqui, amen to that.
bosstrabs that might have been the case back then but not now imo…. Anyway, doesn’t matter really, vaccine passports prob won’t help much
Another good one I heard was, in relation to Passports and Certs etc - “this is all part of the big plan so they can monitor us more and track our every move.” He says using Whatsapp on a Samsung A21.
LT42 pretty much what Dave is saying 🤦♂️
LT42 Yeah people have a very short memory, they should google Theresa May and the Investigatory Powers bill…cunts
Supposed to be off to Sri Lanka mid Jan. PCR test 72 hours before flying, but I read that PCR tests can still show positive 90 days after infection.
What if you have had it in those 90 days and you show up positive? Are you fucked?
mono-stereo You should be able to get a Proof of Recovery Certificate to show that you’ve had COVID in the past 90 days, and subsequently recovered. Probably have to pay for it though…

I tested negative with a PCR on Tuesday after my first negative test last Tuesday.

You are - regardless of status, even in recovery within 90 days, a positive test means 10 days isolation. I wouldn’t have been able to fly today with a positive result yesterday
vinnyt77 Cool, cheers. Seems like a bit of a gotcha if you’ve been asymptomatic with it a few weeks earlier but it still gets picked up by the pre depature PCR test. 🥴
mono-stereo Aye, would be an absolute fucker! We’re due to fly to Thailand the 2nd week of January, and having the same anxiety about it…
mono-stereo I’ve looked into this because I’ve got the same issue - going to Maldives later this month and I recovered a week ago… people who have recovered test positive using a pcr test for an average of 17 days from symptom onset. I would think though that if you’re assymptomatic or if you have mild symptoms, you will test negative earlier… Maldives doesn’t accept proof of recovery btw and the reason for that is the Omicron strain..
mono-stereo
I did a lateral flow earlier as both of the boys started coughing today (we all had COVID first week of November). Both wife and my lateral flow negative but awaiting boys’ PCR results which they need to go back to school and childminder. Intrigued to see what happens there
Jules72 Yeah I cant find anything about Sri Lanka accepting proof of recovery either. The government guidance is a shambles.
Old-Dutch Yeah me and the missus both did a lateral flow test as we’re feeling shit, but came back negative. Not convinced about the accuracy of these lateral flow tests.
mono-stereo ring the embassy
mono-stereo Looks like this might be what you’re after…

Boys’ PCRs both came back negative too
The answer is to stay in the GREATEST COUNTRY ON EARTH.
Smallman1 fuck that
See here (on how long you might test positive for post covid)
