Oakland as of a few hours ago is now requiring proof of vaccination to pretty much do anything indoors. San Jose is exploring the same but for boosters - two shots no longer being enough (likely not until February).
Given the tone of the call today, this is not so much concern over Omicron, but rather public health leaders being fed up with the anti-vaxxers - many of us will be stuck working Christmas (and others will be stuck in isolation with little more than the sniffles) because of their selfishness.
