No interest and make college not something to be made profit from. That’s a solution. A random give-away to a few people because of timing doesn’t make any sense. What about the people in college now? Or in a few years from now? Or those who held off on buying a house to pay their loans? Screw them, yeah?
Also, you choose to go to a fancy private school, that’s your problem. I got accepted to one Ivy League school but didn’t qualify for a scholarship, so I went to a local public school that was affordable.
If you want to make a virus analogy, fine. Then it’s more like an STD. You go full raw dog with someone you just met? Well decisions have consequences.
It needs fixing. We’re on the same team here. I just don’t think a random giveaway gets us anywhere.
