Yeah, this is nothing. Missus is pretty active, she works almost every day at a horse stables as a hobby. Less then three days of guarantee and she’s losing her mind already. Me, I wake up happy every day knowing I don’t have do shit.

yep. my cold/flu symptoms have been gone for about two weeks, but i’ve been left with insomnia and anxiety (i’ve never been prone to either previously). any physical exertion beyond walking around at a slow pace for a short time leaves me with anxiety attacks.

baggers44 thanks, i’ll be ok, it’s just looking like a long recovery time. i’ve found a self-medication strategy to help with sleep and it’s been working the last few days and meditative breathing for when anxiety lands on me. i think if i could exercise i’d be fine, but that’s completely out of the question for now. hope your brother is doing better, i don’t wish this on anyone.

Feel like adding my two pence worth. I had COVID over Xmas, lasted 3 days and was very mild. Omicron I presume. I was triple jabbed as I have some underlying issues and I’m over 50. However, here we are 6 weeks later. I’m totally exhausted and fatigued all the time. My breathing has deteriorated to the point that I struggle to walk and talk at the same time and due to this I went to the GP. A chest X-Ray later and I have some new dark patches on my lungs. All these symptoms apparently point to ‘Long Covid’ or ’I haven’t got a clue-vid’ as we like to call it in these parts. Apparently, despite the initial infection being very mild it can still lay in wait and fuck you up stealthily. Who knew?

EDIT - I’m still going to Bedrock though 😉

My Mrs has something similar, heart rate is constantly elevated and hits fatigue very quickly, she’s hardly left the house in over 2 weeks now. Self employed as well so zero support.

Tis a shitter long covid, and you are right, GPs haven’t got a scooby

Hursty are you sure that’s what it is? Not saying it isn’t but these are symptoms for a myriad of ailments. I’d get a blood test asap

Hursty it’s rough being self employed through this. i can finally work again, but at maybe 1/3rd my normal capacity. i hope she’s doing better soon.

Whenever I call my Mrs at work she sounds out of breath and when she comes home she always says she’s too tired to make love. Thankfully she has a supportive team of male gym instructors at hand at work who can help her through these tough times. Thanks lads!
