Honestly, Dave, I’m not sure what we could’ve done. A complete lock down would’ve just delayed the inevitable by the looks of it. The only way to really combat a virus like this is complete cooperation between countless governments that don’t see eye to eye on much. Hell, we couldn’t even get counties, let alone states, to agree on what to do here in America. We like to think we have agency as human beings, that we can control things around us with enough effort and brains. But, in my opinion, Covid had us by the balls from the get-go. The vast majority of us, myself included, were just to arrogant to realize it.
