zackster IMO, they should be demanding that we share our vaccine patients so that they can safely and effectively protect their people.
From what I understand, the Covid vaccines aren’t that complicated. Standard mRNA that have been in development for decades (if for not this specific use). And it’s not like China gives much of a shit about patents anyway. If they wanted to fully vaccinate, they could very easily.
Either the Chinese hegemony has some ulterior motive or they have a vaccine-resistant variant that they’re trying to keep under wraps. Whatever they say, the 5K death number is laughable. I’d guess it’s multiplied by 10,000 given population density and a large number of “old” people - not that we’ll ever know anything with any attempted accuracy.
Unfortunately, we’re stuck dealing with a massive virus incubator that doesn’t seem to have any conscience about anything other than what influences their elites financial bottom line. Yeah, yeah, the west has its history and sucks, too. Got it. But most of the world, when it comes to public health, communicates and operates in good faith. China does not. It is constant walls put up, obfuscation, and lies. We are here because of their incompetence and malfeasance. No blame to the Chinese people, or those who live there - but their government is a shit-show and I know shit-shows living in the US. They fucked up Covid beyond belief. If there was any justice, government officials in China would be brought to trial, but there isn’t.
