Looks like I’ll be moving back on Covid duty as our cases are going through the roof again. BALLS. Current asymptomatic positive cases in hospitals is 6.4%, up from 1.5% in March. Wastewater testing is showing a spike as well. But hospitalizations have been flat since March. Vaccines are holding up very well.

Statewide (California) hospitalizations are up 100% since their low in March. Counties with low vaccination rates are driving that so it’s not entirely an issue of a weakened virus. But I wasn’t given an N so….yeah incomplete information. But we’re okay given we have a vaccine-adherent populace. Current estimate is 1 in 17 to 1 in 20 with active covid in San Francisco.

Along_the_Wire China are playing a blinder. They’re fucking the supply chain royally with this lockdown whilst the rest of the world strangles itself with massive inflation. They’ll be holding the world to ransom pretty soon

I’m no conspiracy theorist - but I wonder if it’s possible Russia and China timed this situation to destabilise.
