But the results are quite reliable. The antigen test, which is likely the self-administered, is not so reliable. To put it in perspective, we donāt consider a test āpositiveā until we get the PCR/molecular lab result. Unfortunately, the antigen tests do produce false negatives. You test antigen-positive, youāre getting the PCR. Hopefully, āthough, the antigen test can be a measure of viral load and therefore infectiousness. You might test undetectable (negative) but be positive but have such a low viral load (assuming asymptomatic) that itās not really a concern. I hope that makes sense. I wrote that a bit quickly.
