Rumor is Putin’s got Parkinson’s and will retire in 2021. Hence the new law about not being able to prosecute old presidents they’re drafting in Russia.
Homegrove as reported in quality newspapers like the Sun and Mirror 🤡
Homegrove i won’t believe it until it happens, but hopefully the rest of his life is painful and lonely. it’s the least he deserves.
Yeah, deffo not taking it as fact yet.
What the shit is going on over in France?! Over 60k new cases today. 😱
SM001 personally find it hard to believe that U.K. cases are not up there too - why would the U.K. see curve flattening before the EU?
Maybe he’s taken the news about Sean Connery hard. Shaken but not stirred
Jules72 we locked down later the first time and even before the we still had everything open including mass sporting events? Must’ve spread like fuck - the continent had cut a lot of that down even before they locked down didn’t they?
Not a view I share, but thought this was an interesting read:

Along_the_Wire his excess deaths data is only up to September - you’re almost certainly getting a new spike now and covid deaths haven’t topped out… he can only make his case once he has seen data for October-December… still of course there are the indirect victims of covid eg mate of mine in the NHS is seeing a number of suicide cases right now…as well as those not getting treatment for other conditions (as he points out). On his claim that we don’t have an abnormal number of respiratory patients in hospitals and ICUs for the time of year, that will surely be because beds are being rationed?
I wasn’t allowed to say anything until today, but it’s now okay for me to share that I have volunteered for the Covid-19 vaccine trials that Imperial College are running in partnership with Oxford University. It’s important that we all do our part to beat this virus. The vaccine is the one that has been developed in Russia. I received my first dose this morning 06:20 am, and I wanted to let you all know that it’s completely safe, with иo side effects whatsoeveя, and that I feelshκι я чувю себя немного стрно и я думю, что вытл осные уши. чувству себя немго страо
You’re better than that, DM!
Along_the_Wire A mate sent it to me yesterday. I thought it quite funny. Probably my warped sense of humour.
Dubman Gets a thumbs up from me Dubbers.
Had me all in up until mentioned Russian Vaccine
Almost 90,000 cases a day in France now.
They really need to start washing and stop kissing so much.
Funny how the US media has barely mentioned covid in the last week yet deaths have risen to an average of 1,000 a day. Expect that to go up with all those clowns partying, flag waiving and protesting on the streets.
alistair erm, US media have been reporting since Wednesday thay they’re up over 100k a day, they hit 140k cases in 24hrs on Thursday. Leading scientists have said the death toll will hit 500k by the end of the year. Mostly in Red Mid West States too, mostly Trump supporters, mostly selfish idiots. The damage that man has done is unfathomable.
alistair What US media are you watching / reading? NY Times and Washington Post are all over it.
It’s a matter of clicks, the presidential election gathers more. BLM protests didn’t cause a spike in covid19, because people wore masks. I’d imagine Biden-supporters to be the same, unlike the Trump-goons.
Walked straight into an anti-lockdown march in town yesterday.
‘Interesting’ mix of crusties and lads out for a a days pissup.
Was with family. Not good.
Not sure a right to protest overrules ones social responsibility to others 😠

To be fair you take a chance whenever you walk in or around Piccadilly Gardens.
The absolute dregs of the north west can be guaranteed to be there almost any day you choose.
Prefer the walk from Victoria into town if I go into Manchester.
