Walked straight into an anti-lockdown march in town yesterday.
‘Interesting’ mix of crusties and lads out for a a days pissup.
Was with family. Not good.
Not sure a right to protest overrules ones social responsibility to others 😠

To be fair you take a chance whenever you walk in or around Piccadilly Gardens.
The absolute dregs of the north west can be guaranteed to be there almost any day you choose.
Prefer the walk from Victoria into town if I go into Manchester.
alistair erm, US media have been reporting since Wednesday thay they’re up over 100k a day, they hit 140k cases in 24hrs on Thursday. Leading scientists have said the death toll will hit 500k by the end of the year. Mostly in Red Mid West States too, mostly Trump supporters, mostly selfish idiots. The damage that man has done is unfathomable.
alistair What US media are you watching / reading? NY Times and Washington Post are all over it.
bosstrabs Wasn’t in Piccadilly gardens Dave, but thanks for the advice.
I used to work right next to Piccadilly gardens. 5 Gregg’s within 2 minutes. Absolutely superb.
back to C19. Our ICU is full. Of non covid stuff. Like the old days. I do not know where people are going to go. Relaxing ICU nurse ratios is fine but we aren not exactly flush with nurses in the NHS so even at 1:2 we will need nurses from elsewhere. Which means other services shut down. Waiting gets longer.
this is not good.
Mad_Cyril Where was it? All the footage I saw on line seemed to be in or around Piccadilly Gardens.
Fantastic that my son’s 11 a side football games are called off, whilst at the same time being able to queue indoors at B & Q for a pot of Dulux paint. I really get that logic
alistair Nobody’s forcing you to choose Dulux.
Other paints are available
Two words lads.
Common sense.
Use it, use it wisely and all will be well.
Mad_Cyril FAO of @Dubman
bosstrabs We were on Cross St, near Royal Exchange.
Scruffy cunts were heading for town hall, pouring out of Market St.
mono-stereo Dubbers no doubt has special tradesmans gear 💪

Mad_Cyril The R shop around there (Barton Arcade) is decent for trabs.
Used to love going to Sportspages around there too.
Funny that they have announced a vaccine so soon after the election
alistair Would you have preferred it before?
Ooooh. Conspiracy.
Millsy will certainly help feed the grievance narrative.
Along_the_Wire I am mischief making 😀
