seanc80 I’m not so much referring to the alcohol content - I have seen people put away the equivalent at least in a night on stag weekends - more that surely there comes a point where most people say “right, I can’t fucking handle any more pints - onto the spirits”.

bosstrabs In my 20’s i had no interest really in spirits, i really loved drinking pints but the lust for them slowly faded and so did my enjoyment of drinking them and indeed my threshold for them. I think its an Irish thing. Now Id have no graw for the pub really aside from this Friday as i havent been in one in ages.

Each to their own. A lazy afternoon in the pub is decent but by about pint number 8 I always start thinking I need something different or I’m just going to fall asleep. From the sheer weight. And I’m bored of pissing all the time.

Pints in the afternoon -> some wine if there’s some on the table over dinner -> JD and coke or bottles of lager or whatever people are buying in the bar later.

Feel great the next day, as you can imagine.

Last time I checked there was a relatively low risk of waking up, covered in shit, next to a Doris who’s name you can’t remember, after having a haircut though.

Mad_Cyril The last time I checked, the majority of people can enjoy alcohol responsibly, especially given the restricted hours and group dynamics.

Also it’s a bit of a kick in the teeth for the landlords in Wales. Apparently they aren’t able to make decisions themselves now about who’s taking the piss and had enough, or trying to bend the rules.
