C_J And the idea that the NHS has been chronically underfunded for years is another absolute falsehood. The UK spends too much on the NHS. The problem is, like any publicly funded body (e.g. the bbc) the money ends up being wasted on inefficiency and bureaucracy.
Its the same thing, CJ, when you boil it down. It’s just another way of saying its underfunded, meaning the money isn’t being properly allocated and therefore the system is shit and under-prepared to deal with situations like this, just like in Ireland where years of neglect have left the system in the red even before Auntie Covid came along.
