Not fully open up. Just get back to where we were on December 10th. Overdue, IMO. We’re past the holiday push, positivity rate per 100K has stabilized, and ICU capacity should be at 25% within a few days.
The air pollution limitations was just for Los Angeles - that’s on them and their health department, for some unknown reason, has been a shambles for years now.
San Francisco, if it wasn’t for the daft lumping together of 5 general geographic groups, never would’ve or should’ve closed up - we’ve been fine for the most part. Last year, 4x as many people died from overdoses (mostly fentanyl) than COVID; that should paint a picture of what our bigger public health issue is (not to minimize COVID).
Keep in mind, most of the restrictions were symbolic anyway. Enforcement was slim to none sans restaurants being shuttered. Travel restrictions, household limits, all of that…came down to little more than guidance or requests.
