OK. Leaving aside you first paragraph for the moment, which is completely unsubsantiated, it’s the last sentence that is the real problem.
When it comes to an issue as divisive as Brexit, the suggestion that there is a “rational objective side” is self-righteous, sneery, holier than thou nonsense, perpetuated by people to look down their noses at others. This vaccine fiasco has been going on now since before Christmas and despite how passionate the most vocal remainers on here are when it comes to slating the UK, the behaviour and complete incompetence of the EU in their handling of this haa not even been acknowledged (aside from yourself last night).
The very notion that there is an “objective side” is flawed from the outset. Surely to be truly objective you are not on any side, but sitting in the middle and able to criticise and call out the bullshit from the sides of the argument as you see it? People on here regularly label Brexiteers “thick, racist” “only voted to leave because of immigration” when a lot of people who voted to leave simply aren’t. A lot of people voted to leave for many different reasons and as time goes on and issues like the vaccine problem in the block unravel - there is becoming more weight to their arguments - it’s hardly rational and objective to label them all thick, racist cunts whilst completely ignoring or criticising the handling of the vaccine crisis by the EU.
To go back to the first paragraph, to paraphrase, you say that remainers have “unequivocally condemned” the EU on article 16 whilst Brexiteers said nothing when it looked as though the UK were going to breach the agreement. It’s simply not true and there has been zero condemnation on here by the most vocal remainers to substantiate what you are claiming.
Using phrases like ‘unequivocal’ and ‘objective side’ is utter nonsense and doesn’t really do any cause any favours here. The issue is completely divisive and most are so firmly in their camps that they simply choose to ignore everything that doesn’t suit their own point of view so as not to lose face.
I am no fan of Boris, and despite living in his constituency, I have never voted for him. And whilst there have been many, many failings by the UK in their handling of the pandemic, they have got their vaccine strategy spot on whereas the EU have completely fucked it up through incompetence and best and absolute corruption at worst. The sad thing about it that there will be many, many lives lost as a result and let’s face it, when it comes to life or death it doesn’t really get more serious, does it? A lot of people will swallow the bullshit they are trying to sell to cover their own arses because it suits their own agenda and narrative to have a dig at the UK whilst at the same time failing to call it out for what it is so as not to lose face - all whilst a lot of people will die as a consequence. Sad times.
