alistair Maybe the data isn’t readily available in the UK but in Ireland the schools are undoubtedly causing the increases in the last week or so and out here it’s obvious schools are a problem, at least the ones that are open.
I find it just as grating as plague raves that parents are willing to insist on schools being opened using excuses such as: they’re losing skills and becoming troglodites (they’re not, they adapt better than their parents)- they need to be outside the house (yes of course, let them play in the mud like we all did as kids) - I’m sick of having them around the house (selfish personal reasons).
Denying schools are a breeding ground for this is ignorant at best. It’s not just the kids, it’s also the adults coming to school who work in different areas. We’ve had a mini breakout here with kitchen staff and now some of the cleaners. We’ll be going back to online lessons as soon as the word comes down. Inspectors were here yesterday and gave us a green light an all but not one member of staff thinks we should be here, it’s far too risky.
