Along_the_Wire yeah but as you know efficacy of vaccines isn’t 100% and, according to what we know so far, most vaccines don’t protect much against variants like the South African one. If the latter’s true then doesn’t that mean the South African variant will spike here at some point (unless we have a modified vaccine in usage to deal with it)
btw South Africa, despite fears over its variant, has seen cases collapse from 25k 2-3 months back to 1k a day now… and that’s despite no tight lockdown. Interesting stuff and maybe good news? I mean, despite its presence here, it hasn’t kicked off in a big way either?
