As long as ICU capacity is fine, dunno why anyone is fussed. Those of us blessed to live in countries with a strong public health infrastructure, everything is being monitored very closely. Might have a pop up or a flare up here and there, but as long as we have the means to treat them, so be it. We cannot keep living under restrictions forever. If the NHS and the University PH systems think going LARGE with YOUSEF banging out FREE at CIRCUS is okay, I would by okay with it, too.
Brazil and India are having problems? Fucking shocking.
One of our first conference calls, over a year ago, India was the biggest worry. SFO was looking at terminating travel due to the heavy Indian tech population in the area, their constant travel to-and-from, the population density in their country, the border with China, and their poor health infrastructure (SFO did not restrict travel - likely due to political and legal pressure). The only thing surprising there is how long it took for it all to break down. I’d also guess it’s been bad for a long time, but as journalists have been allowed to be back in and do their thing, we’re finally hearing about it. But that’s just conjecture.
