jonattonyeah I posted a link the other night that research shows you only need 1 shot if you’ve already had Covid. Have you heard anything about this?

Yes, that’s the theory - that one’s bout with Covid serves as the first shot. We’ve been telling people…if you had a bad reaction to the first shot, you likely had Covid previously even if you didn’t know it (I had a bad reaction which backs that idea up). We’re still telling everyone to get their second shot anyway.

Can remember a lot of folks claiming they had it dec 19 / jan 20 in UK after a bad bout of flu.

Despite no positive test for antibodies.

Best to stick with known knowns.

Along_the_Wire problem is you’re talking about the booster being available 6-9 months after discovery of the variant (the p-1 was known in January I think)… so basically you want to keep the nasty foreign variants out in the meantime….that means shutting the border… ooops… the only way to be safer than sorry is doing that imo

alistair Well, assuming the article isn’t complete fantasy (I believe 5mag is reasonable well respected), then you do know some of the circumstances, and they show pretty poor judgement (as admitted by Burridge) or as I would put it ‘greed at the expense of others lives’.

Along_the_Wire yeah was just about to post this video from Chris Witty - he says the South African variant is the one they’re most concerned about ..remember there was a study that said AZ wasn’t effective against it.. and that’s why the South Africans stopped using it

but then why is it that the covidshield copy of AZ isn’t working in the Seychelles and Maldives? I have no idea - whether Witty is wrong or there’s something about the Indian AZ copy
