For those who have the patience to read such papers, this goes into detail on where research is in relation to mutations and the current state of play with vaccinations and their effectiveness on mutations. Sounds like there will be continuous mutations making SARs endemic like the flu and vaccines will need to be continuously modified if it all possible.

Just had my second jab, delighted!

Seems that bar is high for the government not to end all restrictions late June…. so I’m curious how many of you would happily, at that point, go to a crowded club and sit in a full cinema… let’s say cases move up to 3-4K daily and the Indian strain becomes dominant… let’s assume you’ve had both jabs

Whenever i hear ‘Indian Strain’ I picture Rhouses doing up the shoelaces on his horrific hi tops.

Jules72 once people have had their 2 jabs, if we can’t start getting back to normal life then this will go on for years. Then we are screwed as a lot of businesses and industries will completely fold. We need to get out there again, clearly as safely and sensibly as possible.

Jules72 I would. It would make sense for some safety measures in place. Clubs prob should have testing on way in and cinemas may do the temp check. People can wear masks in cinemas & the clubs I go to people worn masks for years….

It almost feels wrong to go back to normal life now, but when a lot of the population have had 2 jabs then surely it’s time to get back to normal.

Millsy I wouldn’t go to the same cinema as Ed incase I’m stuck behind him

RichM temperature checks do bugger all really… anyway doubt you’ll see cinemas full until numbers have been confirmed at low levels for a good while

Jules72 cinemas could offer restricted and non restricted viewings. They must be keen to get numbers in, but it will be a while for some people to want to get back to full cinemas, so try cater for everyone’s needs. This is assuming the govt open everything up in June.

Lol at temperature checks on the way into nightclubs the state I normally stroll in I’d never see the inside of a club again

the client i’m working for at the moment went to the cinema last night with her two children. Said it was good as everyone was all spaced out. So everybody could easily see the screen.
