Genuine question, what’s it been like living in a city while covid has been around? Must say where I live in a more rural area it has definitely appeared to have been much scarcer and you just don’t feel as affected, apart from the restrictions.

The postcode covid data has said it has been suppressed for weeks around here.

Hursty been into the city of london a few times over the last year and it is just odd, very very quiet, like there has been an alien invasion or a pandemic or something.

Whereas local town feels like it’s been a Sunday every day for the last year, until it all opened up again recently

…lovely. Was taken there by clients once, no-one could decide which dessert to have so they asked for a selection, it came on this 6ft-long glass tray filled with ice and fruit, was fucking incredible.

Always preferred Zuma to ROKA, but ROKA is still excellent

We’re officially done with masks, for the most part, next Tuesday. Only places they’ll be required is on public transportation, indoor events 5,000+, and outdoor events 10,000+. I’m sure some bars and restaurants will still require them, which is their right, but it will not longer be mandated. Also looking at herd immunity in about three weeks.

jonattonyeah heard 6% of sequenced cases are the Indian variant over there now, which obviously needs to be watch… although your predominant use of Pfizer (over AZ) is helpful

jonattonyeah Nice one, must be a relief to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Over 45s up for vaxxing here starting today, hopefully by the end of the Summer things will be normalising here too but to be fair all that’s left here is the mask mandate, everything else bar large scale events is up and running.

I don’t get that level of detail. I’m sure it’s being monitored by UCSF but I’ve been told the Pfizer vaccine has worked well against variants so…yeah. No concerns. We’re expecting a bump come winter time but for now it’s smooth sailing.

Averaging 12-15 positives a day. 1 hospitalization and that turned out to be a false positive. Dude was just fucking old. Everyone else has been fine. Well except this one wacko bint who’s symptomatic, is preggers, whose daughter tested positive, but refuses testing. Fun!
