First one is that the number of reported deaths related to Delta aren’t statistically significant enough to make assumptions and the second one is that 94% of the over 50s and at risk groups have been jabbed, almost everyone, so most people who catch covid are likely to be from that group.

      You can also look at the ease of distribution and storage i.e. temperatures that the vaccines need to be stored at, which in a global pandemic really makes the AZ vaccine far more accessible than Pfizer - considering this is affecting the world you have to ask overall which of the vaccines will have the bigger impact.

      It’s great there are different vaccines out there but would be interested in Hannu’s case for why Pfizer is better.

      The US and EU pandering to Big Pharma is also pretty sickening - in a lobbying and PR race, who do you think is winning? Too much self interest for my liking.

          Pfizer well and truly played the EU. Ursula makes a big statement about them only renewing contracts with reliable suppliers like Pfizer (a month or so after Pfizer told them they were going to be down on delivering them 10m vaccines) ergo they are done with AZ and when it comes to renewing the order with Pfizer, Pfizer hike the vaccine price to them by 60%.
