Along_the_Wire think the assumptions make sense though given what we know… anyway, I reckon the governments strategy is now to expose the (double vaccinated) population to the current strain… and personally think it makes sense to build up immunity vs the next one that comes along

Know two people who over the past fortnight have taken multiple lateral flow tests which came up negative, before testing positive with a pcr test… they should stop using these home testing kits - they’re bloody useless and just lead to false complacency. Wonder how many people have assumed the lateral flow results were correct, gone about their lives and passed on the virus… yet another useless (and expensive) Tory policy
We are basically being told to live with it now though, which is quite surprising to be honest. But they are being ‘guided by the data and scientists’ so this Delta must nowhere near as bad as the original variants
We need to move on.
What will replace Brexit and Covid discussion though?

Unlike Hancock, Javid appears to have some common sense
alistair got the dreaded e-mail yesterday from school. 10 days of isolating for the boy…joy.
Phil-McRackin tell me about it, was enjoying a day off on Friday, got out of the gym, turned my phone on and an urgent message from the school. Had to pick the boy up from the school asseembly hall at 11. Switched on teams for his maths lesson at 1 and lo and behold they weren’t ready with a link. Pathetic, when you think he is negative and has GCSEs next year.
alistair we had another message on Saturday to say 2 anti Vaxxer parents at his football training had also tested positive…selfish cunts. I wish them both a slow painful illness.
