Firmly in the pro passports camp as a signal of risk to wider society.
The whatiffery around potential other uses is generally bollocks, but to be expected. I’m in danger of serious embarrassment if they use it to document the size of peoples truncheons, so hoping that doesn’t happen.
Its important, probably, to recognise that the situation is still evolving, and peoples feelings will evolve accordingly at different rates.
Couple of examples from on here that spring to mind;
1) the right honourable LT once stated he wouldn’t go near the vaccine until he saw more data on long term effects (or something like that) and now has a different view.
2) I’ve been vehemently anti-trade for a long time, taking pot shots at Eddie and so on. I’ll be going to Cyprus end of August (hopefully). I’ve seen the effect vaccine as have had and understand better (I think) the controls around flying.
Neither of the examples are to make people look berks, just to say as the situations change, so do peoples response.
I’m hopeful folks will see the vaccine impact themselves and get on board, the conspiracy theorist run out of steam as the great conspiracy never transpires.
In the meantime, a rather amusing/sad story about some vaccine berks from today’s Gruniard….
