The article says “at least” 6 months, at least; that’s the minimum they typically expect.

Plus the article also added that the memory would also still : “likely prevent the vast majority of people from getting hospitalized disease, severe disease, for many years”.

There’s also another recent study which indicates the antibodies from an infection last at least 9 months:

Along_the_Wire agreed - I know of 3 people in my circle who tested negative multiple times with a lateral flow test, before testing positive with a PCR. Idiotic the government promotes use of these kits.

Now that more people are potentially returning the office at my workplace, the issue of vaccinated workers refusing to sit next to unvaccinated ones is starting to rear its head…. personally I’d adopt the policies of some American companies - if you are not vaccinated then work from home. No one should be forced to sit next to someone who is unvaccinated all day.

as funky held up alberta as a shining example of what to do, here’s an update … the geniuses in our government basically just decided that as of august 16th, covid is over. no testing unless you’re in the hospital and no need to quarantine after a positive test (how that test would occur, i’m not sure). this is why you simply can’t vote right of center, even when the left is incompetent.

I’ve seen this “argument” a few times, mostly on facebook, but it’s always spun in this way which doesn’t fully make sense.

A similar argument could also be made, which is rather - why are many young people who are happy to buy pills and sniff coke off toilet cisterns so afraid of a virus which is probably less dangerous to them (particularly compared to the coke at any rate)?!

Another thing, as I’ve already discussed above, for young people the vaccine can also be more dangerous than the virus.

Age is a major factor in the above debate though of course.
