The anti-vaxxers tend to be on the hard Right over here. We have a few Lefty hippy types but they’re not as vocal. The most obnoxious part of it all is how they conclusion shop online. Searching out “proof” to back up their position in a never-ending moving of the goal posts.
At this point not taking the vaccine is part of their identity. They won’t budge so there’s not much point.
I put the Black community and a few other demo groups in a a different silo. Many were very wary due to past injustices and mistrust but most are coming around as their family members and friends get the vaccine and are fine - or get sick which has been a means of convincing them of its importance. They’re not stubborn, just rather scared and/or suspicious, but we’re getting there; they can be reasoned with.
The hardline anti-vaxxers on the Right are just stupid and pigheaded. Hopeless.
