The Times running an article today entitled “Is there going to be a lockdown?”….let’s say the probability of a lockdown is 10-20% this year - any sensible government would take measures now to bring that down…we have to avoid lockdowns at all costs… heading into winter with no restrictions at all and taking passports off the table is a idiotic and reckless gamble that only extreme libertarian fuckwits like Hugo think is smart. I have no idea where deaths and hospitalisations are going to be in 2-3 months time, and neither (it appears) do the experts…therefore erring on the side of prudence is simply the obvious route to take and keep us out of lockdown. The Tory prioritisation of civil liberties is, unfortunately, totally incompatible with Johnson’s likely reaction if hospitalisations hit 30k.
