Nothing funnier than a wild, furtive, bellicose cider to catch out the locals and kick it all off. Have been in bars when this has worked out perfectly, and on other occasions when it’s all gone rapidly to shite. The bar stff are always woth listening to.

Missus had a Christmas party last night, spent the night asleep on the floor in front of the toilet seat of our bathroom. And has now by 3 PM forced herself to eat half a piece of toast. And is napping again. I asked how much she drank (I had a bar gig so wasn’t with her): “Everything apparently.”

Sunday sessions can be quite good but the key is to start around noon and make sure you are absolutely panelled by about 9pm. Then you have to go home and kip for 9 hours and you can still be chipper as fuck on Monday.

If you’re still out at midnight on Sunday, it will be a fucking grim Monday morning.
