As a politician, I can’t stand her. She is the poster child of a corporate shill democrat. Steve Manuchin is destroying the country for a second time, when he could have been behind bars, because she chose (was told) not to prosecute.
As a VP pick, I think she is pretty weak. Better choice than Susan Rice, but that’s a staggeringly low bar. I know, everyone was expecting it, but now that it’s actually come to pass, I am really thinking it was a mistake. She appeals to no-one who wasn’t already 100% going to vote for Joe, and she was so unpopular during the primary that she had to dropout before a single vote was cast. Tactically, Liz Warren / Stacey Abramas or some Rhino Republican would have made more sense; either option expands the base. The democrats historical fears of alienating potential voters has cost them countless elections, and I think they are flirting with it once again. Honestly, I think the party would rather loose the election then risk electing a progressive and loosing their donors.
Ever since the Kamala announcement, I’ve become increasingly worried about the election. I didn’t think there was anything Joe could do to blow this thing, but suddenly I am picking up a 2016 vibe in the air.
