Kells77
Kells77 I guess personally, I just feel helpless, and because of the pandemic, it’s startlingly clear how alone we are here
Me too #metoo.
Oakland is going to go full carnage again tonight. And there’s nothing that can be done about it. What’s different here is that, for the most part, the Area is in full consensus about injustice and inequity. Everyone here pretty much agrees that things have to change. But there is still so much tension in the air.
I cannot imagine what it’s like in Midwestern cities where beyond the conflict between cops and protesters, there’s a large contingent of aggrieved white working and poverty class people who do not agree with the change being sought. They believe they are the true victims (I think their anger is justified, just very misplaced). They’re now cosplaying Call Of Duty in their tactical gear and assault rifles, jerking off in the mirror before they think “The Purge” is on its way. Fucking dorks.
As an aside, I wish the protesters here would realize that they’re welcome to smash up Oakland every other day and twice on Sundays. Because nobody cares about Oakland. The Town is a civil unrest containment zone. Come in from outside and smash up whatever you want here, because nobody who has influence cares. But don’t you dare go to Palo Alto or the Los Altos Hills or San Francisco’s Pac Heights, where the true movers and shakers live. You try and smash up store fronts along University Avenue by Stanford and see how far your Black Bloc anarchist nonsense goes. They’re also cosplaying, by the way. Fucking dorks.
