If you’re going with what you really meant in the post then you were technically agreeing with Grant and black people are disproportionately being targeted, which was the premise all along. So it just looks like you were being patronising for the sake of it.
Yet again you’re jumping to conclusions and claiming I said something I didn’t - I said “ black people have a higher chance of being shot than white”, that is not the same thing as “black people are disproportionately being targeted”.
For one thing, “being targeted” implies a motive on the part the shooter. I simply stated the data as to what actually happens. I have not ventured an opinion on any potential reasons behind why it is happening.
Secondly, the term “disproportionately” is on its own rather vague, and can be taken in different ways and applied “in proportion” to a number of different things. I chose to avoid using the word for the additional potential it has to be misconstrued or a cause of confusion.
