It seems to me it’s the fear vote. Or the slice of pie vote. Being in the Bay I know many from Mexico and Central America. Some are fervently anti-immigration because, despite being immigrants themselves, they’re worried about losing the tiny slice they’ve been afforded. “I’m here. That’s that. Nobody else. Because I’m scared.”
