My first Primary School was Columbia Road (Brick Lane/Bethnal Green way); I might have been the only white British kid in my class (for census definition purposes anyway).
My second Primary School was near Alexandra Palace, a lot of the kids came from Muswell Hill, but also quite a few from Wood Green/Bowes Park/Bounds Green.
My Secondary School was The Latymer School, the state grammar school in Edmonton. The kids came from across pretty much the entirety of the north half of London, from Holborn, to Islington, to Hackney, to Enfield etc.
Btw, if @303abuser wants to talk lived experience, I wonder what he’d make of the number of kids in my school who got mugged by the local Edmonton youths (typically of one demographic)? I never considered it a race-driven issue though, or claimed it to be “systemic” despite all the cases only going one-way, or subsequently looted and vandalised unrelated stores to try and somehow compensate for it. I also didn’t somehow confuse them for the good black people who went to my school.
